I'm looking to replace my rear tires...either a 285/35/18 or 295/35/18.

Don't really spend too much time at the track or drag strip. Mostly some spirited street driving every once in a while.

I'm a little concerned with the lower tread rating on the NT05 and don't mind paying a little more for the Potenzas if it's a better tire.

The Potenza So-4 does have a slightly higher treadware rating so, generally speaking, they should last a little longer.

When it comes to size the NT05 is offered in both sizes but the Potenza is only available in the 285's.

How many miles do you put on the vehicle per year?

Based on what you are looking for I recommend going with the S-04. This model handles and rides extremely well and with the amount of miles you typically drive per year you should get two years of service out of them.

We do not stock the S-04 in the 285/35-18 size but we can order a pair in for you. Our current mail order price per tire is $318.00 with FREE delivery.
