Not sure if anyone was aware but, MD Performance is having a Dyno Day next Saturday the 21st. I'm going to try to make it up just to watch. Won't be bringing my car as it has a slight issue but, always nice to see some cars on the dyno!

Only 3 spots left....looks like there were only 6 total. 3 already taken..and 3 left. Should be an interesting day...not sure if I'm headed up or not. Fighting a cold right now. Yay winter!

Hello PCR members!

Dyno Day is almost here! Mark your schedule for this Saturday, November 21st, from 9AM to 3 PM.

This will be a unique opportunity to see and learn about the wonders of the internal combustion engine! Watching the big block dual four barrel Pontiac motor that was just completed and custom built for Mike Dietz howl away in the engine dyno room will be a treat all by itself. Learn how small changes to ignition timing and fuel ratio can make a significant impact on HP and TQ outputs.

Below is a link to Walt Ziffer's old Mustang 331cu single T76 turbo motor being tuned on the engine dyno by master engine builder George Reggio several years ago.

Walt's Mustang project will also be part of the show and tell portion of PCRs Dyno Day including it's shiny new 1,000+ HP modern supercharged V8 and tricked out road racing suspension.

Many more custom cars will be featured in various stages of build as well as a room full of high performance engines.

Originally we were cleared for 3 cars to be strapped down to the Chassis Dyno, but now we have been cleared for 3 more!!!!

The first 3 spots have been filed by a BMW M6 (twin turbo V8), Noble M400 (twin turbo V6), and a Porsche 911 Turbo (twin turbo flat 6). M6 owner Cyrus has already claimed victory as the king of Dyno Day, but with 3 new openings, who will step forward to attempt to take his crown?

The PCR discounted Dyno Day rate for a chassis dyno session is $100. The first 3 guys are confirmed and paid, thank you guys!

Please let us know ASAP if you wish to take one of the additional 3 chassis dyno participants. As a friendly reminder, Maryland Performance Center chassis dyno can NOT accommodate 4 wheel/all wheel drive vehicles, therefore, two wheel drive cars/trucks only. The first 3 to respond will get the remaining spots.

To grab one of the 3 open Chassis Dyno spots, please e-mail us with your name and what car you plan on bringing. We will be in touch with the first three members that reply to this e-mail to confirm your participation for the Chassis Dyno session.

For the additional 3 that sign up, please bring $100 cash or check on Saturday to pay Maryland Performance directly.

We have tentatively reserved Curley Qs BBQ for our event, but we need to confirm head count in order to meet his minimum requirement, so please e-mail with the number of attendees (including yourself).

If we don't meet the minimum for the BBQ, our plan B is to grill burgers and hot dogs, but we really want BBQ (it's delicious!), so please bring a guest or 2 or 3 or 4.

For those that wish to join our group drive to Dyno Day, we will meet at the Darnestown Harris Teeter located at 14101 Darnestown Rd, Darnestown, MD 20874.

We will congregate on the west side of the parking lot at 8:30AM.

If you want to drive directly, please see below for directions:

We hope you see you all there and look forward to having a great time!

Sounds interesting Mike. Perhaps I'll cruise down to check it out. Anyone else interested in hanging out?
