Not sure What to get??

I am looking to buy a cobra in the spring. Right now I have a 95 3.8 that im looking to get rid of. I wanna get either 94-95 Cobra or 96-98 Cobra. If I get the 94-95 I am going to get new heads intakes and cam. What would be better h/c/i 5.0. or a stock 4.6.

also if I was to go with a 94-95 is it that much better to get a Cobra or will a Gt be about the same after the h/c/i and full exhaust.

Well, the only real plusses about the 5.0 cobras are that theres HELLA aftermarket stuff for them... not so much for the 4.6. And they are easy as shit to work on. But on the other hand... the 96-98 cars are BEASTS with just gears and a tune. Its going to take a hell of a lot more money into a 5.0 to make it somewhat fast than it will to make a 96-98 fast. Looks wise the 96-98 has a much better hood, that can be changed on a 5.0 as well but then again.. theres 400 more dollars to dump into it. I'd say just get a 96-98 and in a few short years there will be just as much aftermarket opportunities as the 5.0. just my .02

On this point... do NOT get a 5.0 GT from 94-95. I had one and it was a goddamn slug. Plus.. everyone and their mom has a 94-98 gt... get a cobra and a cobra only.

I am kinda partial to the 5.0 but either way, go with a cobra. I not saying a 5.0 is better, because my next car will most definately be a mod motor equiped stang.

Definitely get the 4.6 Cobra. Its well worth your money.
