Bought my 03 cobra just a few days ago and the guy I bought it from has steeda pulleys on it but doesn't have the idler bracket or the pulley..I been told by a friend that if its missing the belts can slip and mess the engine up..is it that dangerous not having the idler?? I KNOW JUST ABOUT NOTHING WHEN IT COMES TO PARTS ON THE CAR SINCE ITS MY FIRST AMERICAN MUSCLE ^_^

depends on how small the pulley is but i recommend one. it will help prevent belt slip, it wont harm anything not having one but if the belt slips you wont make optimal boost leading to not making optimal power.

I have been DDing my cobra for over 2 years now, and have not once installed a aux/snub idler. As mentioned above, they are mainly used to help cure/prevent belt slip. However, if you aren't experiencing belt slip to begin with....then there isn't much of a point in running one.

2.8 upper, JLT rai, steeda cat-back, and BAMA tuned.
