Hey guys, I have been a member since 2007. I used to own an 03 Termi and sold it to put a down payment on a house. Loved the car and have since owned a few different vehicles. I have always wanted a GT500 and I believe I can swing one now. My question is what year? I can't afford a 2012 or newer I don't believe. I can maybe push the price to about 35K, maybe a little more.

What year do you guys recommend? Any issues with the GT500s? I know the Terminators had a coolant flow issue. ( I was able to actually remedy that back in the day).

Thanks for the input guys.

This was my Termi back in the day.

I would do your best to at least buy a 2011. It has so many improvements over the 2010s and older. But if you can't buy a 2011 than get a 09 unless you want the newer body style than buy a 2010.

07-09 stock clutch is garbage, 07 has the boat anchor lower that needs replaced asap before mods. 10 is the oddball year but i like because of the newer styling and last year of the iron block. Equals much easier to replace and has the knock sensors. I have an 11 with every bolt on imagineable and would do 35k probably so a newer one is doable. Most of the 11 up cars have the 1-2 shift issue which i don't, 2-3 has a notchy spot but manageable. Love the terminator btw, probably my favorite mustang of all time.
