Well here is my latest project. I purchased it last June and fixed a few of the cosmetic things to it first and changed the loader valve, loader cylinder seals, removed the trashed loader bucket and installed a quick attach plate with 60" skidsteer bicket and 2800lb. rated forks. Ive changed most of the hydraulic lines as well. I think i have four to go.

The Tractor is a mid-late 90's model Cub Cadet 7235. It is a hydrostatic 4x4. It was a 23 hp. rated diesel. I bought it as a running basket case. The loader wouldnt lift anything, tons of slop in the frame to engine connections, leaking everything it could everywhere! So i started off like i stated earlier trying to fix the loader first. I took the guys word rather than diagnosing the problem that it was a hydraulic pump issue and nothing more. So i changed it out and.....nothing. so i then decided i was going to buy a service manual and watch some videos to learn more about hydraulic systems. I figured out it was the loader valve after running some tests. Problem was the factory loader valve would have cost close to 1000.00. So i hunted and found one that had all the inlets and outlets in roughly the same areas.

Since i bought the tractor i new the engine was tired and at some point a full rebuild or replacement was to come. Unfortunately while fixing the oil pan gasket leak i found my worst case scenario. The engine bosses that the frame attach the engine to 4 of the holes on one side were helicoiled and two were broken. Later i found that of the 4 front bolts two were missing and the other two were still attached to the frame but the frame tab sheared off which meant they were now doing nothing.

I have been scouring the interwebs looking for an engine and found one in Kentucky. I had it shipped and I installed it. I had to change a few things on it to make it compatible with my tractor. Im pretty sure it was used as a generator. The guy i bought it from imports engines from overseas. Anyways on to the pics!
