My bet is on the throwout bearing. I can hear it spin-up when I push in the clutch on my car.

My 08 and my 13 both made like a compressed air noise.

thats it!

im not worried...just wondered if its normal or not...it only does it when its running

i do get a bit of a smell once in a while...typically when im trying to back it into the garage...its hard to manuver into a tight spot back and forth without being on the clutch 1/2 the time...ive smelled it a couple of times...ive worked on getting off of it and havent smelled it lately
