Just finished my aluminator swa an I am breaking it in now. I noticed a noise today that's got me worried coming from the bell housing.

Its a constant soft metal on metal whoosh sound,it doesnt matter if clutch i engagd or not, and it only varies with engine speed. I got under the car and mde sure nothing had come loose, and it doesn't look like it has. It kind of sounds like brakes dragging on a brake rotor but coming from the bell housing.

Is your block plate (between the engine and trans) dragging?

Sometime they can rub the flywheel and cause the noise your mentioning.

If it is I cannot see it. I will not enjoy pulling it apart to see but that seems like the most likely issue.

So I have started the process of dropping my transmission and found two of my starter bolts finger tight. This is the area the sound was coming from but I really don't see signs of grinding on the starter. Should I keep going or put it all back together?
