The R is actually a pound lighter despite the size difference, and you can feel the "stickiness" of it

Nice just recently acquired some 305 555r's for the rear of my car don't know if you have given it much thought but what psi do you plan to run in them. A lot of guys seem to be running them in the 20's on the street to prevent the middle of them from wearing out so quickly. I am currently running mine at 26 but not sure if I should add air or take more out?

yeah i found it last night and ordered 2 nt05r 305/35/19

i know i will be stretching the tire a little bit on a 9.5" wheel. but how would these tires handle 850-900 rwhp on the street? and what kind of mileage are people seeing out of them?

It's a 305/45/18 on a mustang gt seen lots of lightning guys running them in the mid 20's on the street, obviously I want them to hook and longetivity is not my main concern but would like to keep the centers from wearing prematurely. Thanks for your help.

If it matters I currently making just a touch over 400 to the wheels but will soon be installing a 100 shot that should have me right around 500 when spraying. Will also be using them for street and strip use.

I know I didnt ask question, but would also like to know for me....on back of 580 hp tvs car for street and/ strip

Proper pressure for the street is determined by cross referencing the factory load requirements to the aftermarket tire load index using load inflation tables.

What year and model GT's do you guys have?

Im in the market for some nittos... 255/30/20 x2 and 305/30/20 x2 but can seem to get a good price.

The 255/30R-20 tire size is 1.25" shorter in rolling diameter when compared to the factory tires (assuming these are for you 2011). Also, all the models in this size are not load rated for your application. What are your wheel dimensions? Any suspension modifications? A 255/35R-20 ~ 305/30R-20 combination may be a better option for you.

I have exact same set up on my street wheels. I ran my nt555r at around 30 psi for the most part and after 2 seasons middle of the tire is worn out. 305/30/20 Nt555r is a good tire and has good characteristics even in the rain. Excellent for circuit track or on the street, horrible in 1/4 mile dig. On pump gas my car was putting down around 740rwhp and 650ftlb and hooked from 40 roll on about 26 psi in them. Anything over 700rw ftlb and they will spin from 40 and sometimes 60 roll.

2011
True forged light rims
Lower control arms, upper
May lower half inch and use panhard bar
Slightly heavier than stock with supercharger
What would good pressures be?
Thanks

I run Nitto 555Rs and every other Drag Radial at 24psi on the street. Tires wear even all the way across and hook best for me, so 24lbs is my magic number.
