newbie here, interested in buying a lightning

heya guys i am a new dude here.
i hang around on stangnet mostly. i own a 91 mustang GT, with a bunch of goodies and a vortech blower, it ran 115mph in the 1/4 mile with ported stock heads and over the winter i got some TFS heads and a tuner so i am hoping to be in the 11s this season, it seems to be running stronger, its my toy pretty much nowadays, i used to DD the car lol.

i am looking for a nice DD, and i think something with a little pep to it would be awesome.

i know a guy in town who has a lightning and i rode along in it with im and it seemed like a nice pickup, had plenty of power and handled like it was on rails.

i sold my cheap beeater DD s10 a month or so ago and have been DD my brothers fox stang, he is just now 16 so i DDed the car and did some tuning up on it etc before he gets it. Now i need to find myself another ride.

i have been on autotrader looking for some and i was wanting to see if what i have been looking at would be good deals...

heres just a few i have found. are these decent deals and which one would be the best deal?

and also i have read that the 01-04 lightnings made a little more power than the 99-00 trucks. is there really a big difference in power that you can actually feel?

i'm not really too concerned about max power NOW, i plan to DD the truck and just have a nice simple driving truck that looks and sounds good and has a little power you know haha. i doubt i will really mod it, if it was stock i may do a few things for fun like a CAI or exhaust just the simple stuff, i dont think i would want to start changing pulleys for more boost or not ( i say that now lol) if i buy one i plan to keep it for a long time so i may start modding it later lol

and i am wanting to know how many of you guys actually DD your lightnings and if they make nice DDs?

sorry for all the silly newb questions i am just trying to get soem info, i really like the looks and feel of the lightnings

i dd mine ever since i've gotten it and love every minute of it. the only time i regret it sometimes is when im fueling up at the pump and pay almost $100.00 in gas, but then i get back in the truck and once you put it in drive you realize that no matter the amount of money i am going to keep driving it =)

I DD mine since I bought it. I have put 33,xxx miles on it and really had no problems so far. Mine is lowered and drives real nice. I love getting into it and just taking off. I feel a little pinch when I have to fill up, but like stated above, once Im in it my problems tend to go away until I am at the pump again.
