When I bought the vert, it had a well worn h-pipe with some welded in cats and a set of Borla Stingers with 4" tips. I'm not sure how long the cat-back had been on the car, but long enough for the chrome to begin failing on the tips.
My first attempt was to polish them...not a great result, in fact I polished so well, I took the chrome right off and down to the copper plate under it...lol.
The second attempt at a fix involved sandpaper and a wire wheel, which while it took off most of the chrome, left a less than desirable finish. (polishing around the exhaust hanger is a real PITA).
So, I called up Borla and picked up a set of replacement 4" tips and today I finally had them installed. I had a local muffler shop do the work and was able to set the tip spacing when he welded them. :)

Now its time to get on polishing the rest of it.
