So, like many others here over the last few years I had some issues with the stock Pistons in the original Terminator shortblock and thought It was finally time for a rebuild. So I did just that! Only this time I went with a Teksid block and a brand new set of CNC ported heads and added some longtubes at the same time. I already had the Kenne Bell 2.8 Mammoth, which was installed in 2009.

I started back in January of this year and finished up in May. Most of the work was done in my own garage except for the assembly of the shortblock which was done by Adam Bird at Central Auto. He also fully balanced and blue printed it at the same time and I chose to go with ARP main studs. Once the rest of the assembly had begun at home in my garage, I decided to go with Cometic Head gaskets and ARP Head studs. I also swapped out the original exhaust manifolds and installed a set of BBK ceramic coated longtubes, and before anyone says anything, yes I wanted a set of Kooks also but just didnt have enough in the budget at the time.

Anyway, as you'll see in the pictures it was a family affair with both of my Kids helping me out form time to time and my Wife also. On with the Pics and Video. hope you enjoy! :)

My 7 year old Daughter having fun and lending a helping hand! Hopefully memories that last a lifetime as well!

Dyno graph and video below. These numbers are SAE corrected and are fairly conservative with only 14* of timing on the 23psi torco tune.

Beautiful car and nice build OP! Thoroughly impressed! Really like DSG with anthracite! But...

Great build! You and your son both look 15 lol.

This!!! Lol

But I look 12 in the face, so I can't say anything.

Car looks awesome OP, very nice work and solid numbers for only 14 degrees of timing. You going to let you son borrow it when he gets his license?

Thanks man, I actually just finished remote tuning with Lund and I'm upgrading a few more things with my fuel system than off to the dyno. I'm hoping for around 750whp on 91oct.

Probably over the winter I'll jump up to a 168mm mono blade throttle body and retune on 100oct. That should easily be over 800whp. But I don't want to go past 850whp, that's seems to be the point when the stock rods snap and I don't want to destroy my 5.8 block since there about 6 grand to replace.

750 on 91 octane is crazy man!!! I cant believe how far we've come ver the last 15 years in the Automotive performance world! I have heard the same thing about the factory rods on the 13-14 GT500's, so tread lightly my friend.

Awesome build, very cool. Hope you enjoy it. I still want a Terminator one of these days.

Thanks Man! It was so rewarding to be able to set a goal for myself build it mostly myself in my own garage and exceed my expectations!

Theres a lot of mods done on it myself. I did a 351W swap a few years back, started with a roller block and built it up with ported Brodix ST5.0R heads with oversized valves and a Trick flow stage 2 cam and longtubes. It runs really strong and sounds healthy too! I also did the 5 lug conversion, 8.8 with 3:73's and a world class T5 with a McLeod clutch.
