What's up guys -

On my final stages of tuning and my battery died while loading a tune from my act handheld. Had a bunch of issues with fuel, and after eliminating every possible mechanical possibility, I decided it may be the PCM that needs to be replaced. I got an 03 cobra PCM and swapped it over. Beforehand, I turned the stock PCM to stock on the handheld. Then, I put the new PCM in. My scanner read the ECU, and I loaded the tune. Now I"m unable to start the car. The theft light rapidly flashes and the car will not turn at all. Had my tuner erase PATS and still the issue is there.

Just to cover a few bases and have some cliff notes:

-new PCM
-sct tune added with PATS eliminated in tune
-tried fixing ground on battery
-tried turning key on and holding for 4 minutes to cycle
-disconnected battery for 24 hours and loaded tune back on
-pats code 16 coming on
-starter relay replaced

I have no clue what else to do. Thoughts?

The first thing you need to do is find out what code 16 is and run through the diagnostic procedures.

Check main ground under battery tray the plug style ground

You sir, have saved the day. I've read EVERY article and thread regarding pats issues, and have not seen this reply to the fix anywhere. I checked this last night, saw it was unplugged, and BOOM, the car started up.

Thank you for your feedback and I hope this thread helps anyone else in the future with a similar issue.
