They are the same. The JBA description says 99-03 SVT Cobra 4.6L 4v 1-5/8. They claim they added 9.2 hp on a 99 Cobra. I had JBA on my 95 Cobra and had no problems with them there quality was great. I just don't know if I would mess with shorties on the 03 since you need to drop the k-member anyway long tubes might be a better way to go. As long as you don't live in CA.

The don't specify if these were the 1 5/8 or 1 1/2 tubes and they show this same dyno for all of the 96 and up Cobra's headers pages.

Maximum Motorsports sells them for 629.95/set.

Steeda has them for 649.95/set.

I put the 1 5/8 th on my 03. I installed a set of BBK LT's on a buddy's 03 two weekends ago. He has been waiting on his cool air kit from JDM before he dynos. I have my dyno sheet to compare to his. My exhaust is in my sig. He has the BBk LT's and o/r h-pipe and Flowmaster catback plus the 9 inch conical K&N filter. I dynoed with a stock size K&N in the stock air box. I also dynoed with 4.10 gears and that probably pulled 5 rwhp off mine. I think it will be close enogh to see how each header/exhaust combination performs. I'll post the results as soon as I get them.

I was at JBA Racing (www.jbaracing.com) today and saw this 03 Cobra on the dyno. With these headers and a custom 3" cat-back she put 413hp to the tires. They said the headers were good for 21hp by themselves on the blown '03s!

This car was lowered with Eibach springs, 315/35 Goodyears, JBA Headers, custom 3" "X" catback and a K & N drop-in filter.

If yo can get someone to install them (illegal to remove a good cat in Ca.) or install yourself, the BBK LT's and catted H pipe will pass the sniffer. I had LT's on my LT1 Camaro and the smog stations NEVER checked them for a Carb #.

They are the stock wheels. I couldn't believe they fit right on but the guys at JBA said there was plenty of room for them. No rubbing at all. Those 315s look awsome on the 03s.

NA cars won't see the gains with headers a blown engine will. I was dissappointed but maybe the numbers are about right. I made 411/384 SAE with the 1 5/8th headers, Bassani o/r x-pipe and catback, and a K&N filter in the stock air box.

I was expecting a lot more based on an article in 5.0 magazine a year ago where they installed a set on a Vorteched 01 Cobra and it put 30 rwhp over baseline. I picked up 16 rwhp and 10 rwt over my baseline with a catted Bassani x-pipe and catback. It makes me wonder how much I picked up without cats. I'm still glad I did it. The one good point is there were some net gains of 30 rwhp and torque around 3000 rpm.

Not trying to get of the subject but how wide is our stock rim? On this "Tirerack" site it indicates that the rim must be between 10.5 and 12.5"

Is that right??

I love the look!

Our stock rims are 17x9 per Ford, but I have heard a few people say they have measured them as wider. The 10.5" is a recommended width which is often not followed. On my 95 Cobra which has 17x8 rims I had Firestone SZ50 285/40ZR17 which recommend a size of 9.5-11" and never had a problem. When you oversize a tire like these it has a bulge look on the rim which also makes it look good.
