What's with the skinny stripes on the PP?
Must be an old commercial that never made it. It has canards on the front bumper as well.
The thin stripes actually grew on me.
I think that's from a video game...
The plate says [650-200]
It's got the open front grille...
And the 13 tail lights.
I thought fogs were NOT deleted on the Track pack?

For me the thin stripes looked better on the '13 than previous model. Must be the open grille style.
Besides having the skinny stripes,canards on the front valence it also appears to have brake ducts located where the fog lights should be too.
Based on what we see in this video I would say these were all definitely early considerations that Ford tested but nixed close to and in favor of what we now see as the final production vehicle.
I'm sure the canards and the brake ducts performed very well "on track" but I can see why Ford decided not to go with them.

Losing the canards was probably a NHTSA thing that would not pass pedestrian safety regulations for bumper protection. Dang hippies ;-)
They probably found the downforce that they needed through other items so they could delete them and make the car more simple to assemble and have a cleaner look.
So win win situation for everyone.
