well i finaly got a mustang only took ten years but i got it. :banana: its a 97 cobra black with tan int has headers exuast and steeda short shifter thats about it paid 6k has some minor things it needs and the paint needs some work the clear coat has some fade but motor and tranny seem fine o and it has gears i think they are 373 s but not sure any tips?

Congrats on the new ride. My first cobra was (and still is) a Rio Red '97. They're a lot of fun but get expensive if u wanna go fast. Just enjoy it and make it the way you like it.

If ya wanna find out for sure what the gears are, jack up the rear and have someone turn the wheel slowly while you count the revolutions of the driveshaft. Cooling issues were definite with 96's, not sure about 97's. I'm sure there may be other things, and I'm sure there are others who will chime in on that...but on the other hand, welcome!!!!
