Read about this earlier today. So glad I don't live in the EU. I would rip out GPS or whatever other godforsaken technology it takes to implement this crap. My 87 porsche might one day be the fastest car on the road... Again!

No offense to you personally! I can DEFINITELY see this happening in CA. CARB could easily make some baloney argument that this will save gas / emissions.
If that ever happens in the US, I stop buying new cars.

While I hate defending California's silliness, please tell me how CARB will make all auto manufacturers implement this restriction to cars ONLY in California. Seems like quite the stretch to me.
