New Brake pads. New rotors?

Going to be installing new brake pads soon and was just curious if it is necessary to replace or do anything to the rotors? My pads are not totally worn yet so I have no grinding going on at this point and no issues with braking. I would just like to replace them before they become a problem. I'm going with the Hawk HPS pads. Can I just throw them on and leave the stock rotors as is? My car is only street driven if that makes a difference. Thanks.

yup just throw them on and be done with it.

anyone who tries to tell you the rotors need to be cut or turned on a brake lathe should get a swift kick square in the nuts.

new front brembo rotors are $67 each from tire rack, fwiw.

i concur with this. turning rotors is not cost effective. they will be thinner and prone to warpage. a fresh set of rotors is always a good idea(if you have the cash). i usually go with a slotted rotor on my cars.
