Ok, well I went to the track today and ran a new best of 11.71 @ 118.5. My previous best was a 12.2 @ 113. All I can say is what a difference a GOOD tune makes!! Jon Lund did an e-mail tune for me and ever since it has been a new car!

This run was done in my full weight 2004 Cobra (spare and everything), without powershifting and on Nitto drag radials at 20psi.

60 - 1.658
330 - 4.844
1/8 - 7.520
mph - 93.02
1000 - 9.796
1/4 - 11.710
mph - 118.52

Let me know what you think.

What do I think????? I think you're a driving SOB to get a 1.658 60' time with Nittos at 20 psi........Great job!

Very good 60' with the Nitto's. I have made 100's of passes on mine and not gotten that low. What clutch are you running and what rpm are you launching at? Also, what size are your Nitto's.

Stock clutch that is hurting right now, nittos are the 315's, and i am slipping the clutch at 4300ish. I have learned in the past, nittos like around a 4 sec burn in 1st, if you warm them up too long especially in 2nd they will get greasy and won't hook for cr@p.

Thanks for the comments guys; I know there is still a lot left in her. Hopefully next weekend I will have some new numbers.

maybe that is what I need to do, get some 315's. I am using 275s and am usually in the 1.7s for my 60'. Are the 315's on stock size rims?

I agree w/ your burnout tech. Though I usually do my burnout in 2nd gear for a few seconds. Your clutch will be gone soon. When I had my stock clutch I was also launching at 4000rpm. I have a Spec 3 now and have to leave around 2300rpm or I get serious wheel spin.

yes sir he does, and he did it over the net! He e-mailed me the tune and the A/F on my PLX was right where he said it would be.

Nice run, fast with just those mods. How much boost are you getting with that pulley and does it drop off at redline or hold it all the way? I like Maple Grove better than Cecil even though trap speed is always a bit better at Cecil. Only problem I have at Maple is how strict they c an be at Tech in.
