i've seen people say that the PAs burn up on these cars just as bad as the stockers, unless they've made them better recently. i've seen start 'n charge talked about as the way to go, luckily mine hasn't gone yet *knocks on wood*

I have replaced countless alternators on many fords and i can tell you this. The core/return rebuilt alternators are a joke. I havent bought any "aftermarket" ones but when mine fail, i just ebay one or craiglist. Original factory has never given me problems.

I'd do a Start N' Charge before I went with PA
