So, whether your looking for a Raptor, or something like that on the new platform with a V8, you have options.
So as many of you may know, the 2017 Raptor will be out in Fall of 2016. The big controversy has been the engine platform. The 2017 Raptor is set to ONLY have a 3.5L Ecoboost V6 available. This is a great option for some, but not so much for others. Lets talk about some key factors here. The positives. The 3.5L Ecoboost should make around 450HP. That is up from 411HP from the standard 6.2L in 2011-14. Fuel economy should also be up over an average of 12mpg on the 6.2. The ecoboost can certainly get some engine mods probably with a power pack making it around 500HP. For several people who never considered the Raptor, it is certainly a viable option now.
The downside. Without a naturally aspirated V8 to start with, you do not have the option for big supercharged HP. That certainly limits your options. For those of you who are still interested in the 6.2L, we have several 2014 Raptors available including Supercharged Roush versions and some new Supercabs with less than 20 miles on them!
Now, the third option is a new truck Roush just came out with to accomplish and fill the gap the new Raptor has left! Enter the 2015/2016 Roush F-150. The new Roush F-150 comes with Fox suspension, Mickey Thompson unique wheels and tires, a wider stance, Roush/Raptor like grill and more! It also has the 5.0 V8 available naturally aspirated OR available with the Roush Phase 1 supercharger making…. 600hp! Or the Phase 2 level making 650HP!!!
