My wife and I lead fairly busy lives and we only cook once or so a week. So when we do cook, we need to be able to live off the leftovers for 4-5 days. We do the chili and chicken with rice too often we're getting sick of it. What are some good things we can make that are relatively easy? I'm talking things that go in a pot i.e. large quanitities.

Winter time wife makes a good beef stew, I can eat that anytime though, easy and it fills you up.

What does she put it in? What kind of meat?

Lean pre cut stew meat you choice ,potatoes, carrots, celery, cheyan pepper, tomatoe sauce(just a little for flavor) these are the basics, but whatever else you like. Kind of a thick stew like you can eat it with a fork sorta, good with crackers.Try it out.

Stroganoff, predone pizza shells from bakery (get a few sliced meats, veggies and shredded cheese on hand), fresh pasta and different sauces.

Check out the recipe and slow cooker threads as well. SVT is going all Martha Stewart!! lol

Check out those "crock pot" recipes in the "crock pot" thread. You can eat for days on any of them - and generally they only get better as the days go by.

Yes, try the crock pot recipies, I posted a nice easy pork or beef stew that can be set up on Monday morning (need about 30 minutes to setup) and have it ready when you enter the house...then reheat the rest through out the week, maybe serve with some simple rolls, or bread...enjoy!!!
