Looking to purchase a new car under 30k (family car) and it has to be either a van, truck or SUV 4 doors and needs to fit at least 4 people.

Looking at a new Honda Odyssey and also a Fusion, trying to get some ideas.

Thanks

I just got my wife a Toyota RAV4. It's not too big nor too small. Pretty roomy inside and we got the one that has folding seats in the back for more cargo room. So, when the seats are up you fit upto 7 people, granted the back seats are tiny. I'm a big guy and actually fit. Don't know if I could last a long road trip, but perfect for kids or someone small. We also didn't care for leather seats and all the other options, so we got the basic model. I had checked out other similar SUV's, like the Ford Escape, Mazda CX-7 and Honda CRV. Toyota was giving us the best deal, probably because of the brake recall problem.

Lightly used '07+ Tahoe. They drive like cars and so much comfort.

This, or you might be able to get an Escalade for that price as well (used of course). I'd say the caddy is the better choice for a family since it's nice and roomy and very comfy. Doesn't look bad either.

Not really looking for a used car. Has to be brand new.

It could reach 40k for the right one. I'm really liking the 2011 Fusion, interior looks fantastic.

Currently we have a 03 Honda Odyssey, and the new 2011 looks pretty good too.

Another vote for the 2011 Edge. Or, if you want to wait a bit, the new Explorer looks sweet too.
