Need some info on wheels and tires

Hey guys! Right now I have 2010 OEM take off GT500 wheels on my 14 GT convertible.

the stance on them are great and if I'm correct I believe the wheels are 19x9.5, front tires are 255 and rears are 285.

id really like to get a second set of 13-14 style gt500 wheels from A.M.

but the only sizes that have are 19x8.5 and 19x10.

I wanted to do one of 2 things. Keep the staffers tire setup I have now, or I kinda wanna try a square setup of 275 all the way around.

Would 19x10 be too wide for all four corners? And what is the widest proper fit tire could I fit on the 8.5's

I run 20x10 at all 4 corners with 285/30-20's. It most definitely can be done.

a 255 is about as wide as I would go on an 8.5 for a front tire. You could try and wedge a 275 onto it, but it's going to make the steering pretty squishy with that much sidewall bulge up front.

On my previous car in my picture I was running 19x9.5 with 285's on all 4 gives you rotation then if you want to run a second more aggressive set you would have it. 275/40 also works for a square set up. The car was more of Road Race setup but for daily driving you would be good.

You could go up to a 295 on a 10 and keep the 255's on the 8.5 inch wheel. Just to be sure I would probably ask on the 2010 GT500 forum what's the largest size tire they are running up front without rubbing.

Thanks guys!!!! That pretty much sums it up for me, I'm gonna go with the 19x10 and run a square set of 275 all around and once I supercharge I'll be able to run a wider tire in the rear when I want to!!

What size sidewalk should I run on the 19x10 wheel in a tire width size of 275 for the square setup????

I run 275/35/r20 square and that's as close to the factory 245/45/r19 that I could get to keep the same overall diameter. 275/40/r19 is pretty much the same as above

You will be fine. My car is slammed on Eibach Sportlines at over a 2" drop.
