So lately my brakes have been sort of grinding a bit when comming to a stop.

Yesterday now its making a grinding noise when im driving all the time not even on the breaks.

Anyone know what that means.

Also, what would I need to fix it?

And, is it easy to fix the breaks on this trucks?

Thanks.

1. Take a wheel off and look at the brakes.

2. Yes they are very easy. The longer you wait, the more expensive and difficult it is going to be.

I've had Great luck with NAPA's "Application Engineered" pads. Whatever you do stay away from CERAMIC pads for a Lightning.

hey supeg.... my truck did that before... sounds like a caliper is just hung up? its not. mine did it, and my pad was completely worn off and the rotor was eating into the metal backing of the pad. i think the piston in the caliper was fully depressed and the pad was still lose due to no actual material left... and the backing was just lose and rubbing and grinding everything... get those things changed ASAP.
