I found an 03 Cobra in my area and had a chance to speak with the sales manager tonight. It seems that they buy alot of their cars at auction and resell them on the lot. The particular one I am interested in is an 03 zinc yellow Cobra. When I looked at the car it seemed to only have an SLP catback and some sort of CAI on it. The manager confirmed that there is nothing else done to the car. The car has about 25000 on the clock. The only thing I am leary about is he admitted to buying the car from some auction out in PA. I don't know if it was a repo or if the car was damaged in some way. It looks great from the outside, but being a tech I am always suspicious. I know that a carfax cannot show everything in the car's history. Does anyone have any idea how I can do some serious homework on this car?
