I have a 99 Cobra engine (for the most part, some 01 parts) that will be going in a 1951 Ford truck.

The block is at the machine shop getting cleaned, line honed, cyl bored and new pistons/rings/bearings.

I have 2 brand new C heads with stock cams, 99 Cobra intake with stock injectors.

What should I look for when assembling? I have built many engines before but never a Ford mod engine.

What do you all recommend for the timing chain/tensioners/guides?

I have what appear to be 2 new long guides and 2 short used guide with minimal wear. All of the gaskets are OEM Ford.

An engine is an engine. Get a good manual and double check all your clearances. I like the steel tensioners for the chains. But people have used the plastic with no issues.
