I've seen on different forums that you can get Bilstein Shocks & struts rebuilt or re-valved for $75 each. Has anyone had this done? What was your experience.

When I go to Bilstein's site it shows two different prices for this.

Rebuild: replace o rings, seals, wipers, & oil for struts $85 each

Re-valve: replace Seals, o rings, wipers, and oil for $110 each

When it appears what they do is the same why does re-valve cost $25 each more.

Thanks, Dave

When I talked to them a few months ago it was 85 per for the fronts as the basic. Any machining was 65, a new rod was 10 per. It could cost 85 per or up to 200 per depending on what you want to do.

I would just call then and go over all the options as you would want, as they are going to be the only ones who can really give you absolute answers.

I spent a good 50 min on the phone and they had their suggestions and answered my questions to the fullest.

Also...I'd think about the shipping costs both ways.
It might come out cheaper to just buy the new shock you want.
