Hi Gang,
So as I am trying to get the drive cycle in so i can get the NYS inspection, the cobra over heats!
Here is what I know:
-Heat went all the way to the red
-Fan is on
-All hoses from the crossover are HOT
-The short hose from the thermostat housing to the radiator is cool to the touch
-The hose to the thermostat housing from the crossover is hot, but not as hot as it is up top
-No low coolant lite
-Coolant starts to come out when i remove overflow cap
-removed the burp plug after 15 minutes of standing and it is dry
-I have an aluminum coolant tank, which seems to leak when the car is hot regularly from the cap.
Please let me know what you think this might be! I put one of those dress-up cops over the overflow cap..can there be a pressure problem in the tank?
I tried searching but there are so many unrelated results for 'over heating' sorry...
THANKS!
