Got a new MMR block and was trying to put on my timing chain guides when I noticed I needed dowel pins. Went to a Ford dealership and they stated that all dowel pins now had one part number. So I ordered them and they seem to be too short. The guides really look as if they will slide off at any second and I am not familiar with any of this. Plus now I am going to have to get that dowel pin out of the block if I have to get a longer one. Frustrated! Any one have a clue on this?

I know what your talking about. Ive seen this on my motor. But the only thing I can think of to do is to figure out a way to push that pin out just the little bit it needs.

Found out they are called "Tensioner Arm Pivots for CAST Iron blocks" from MMR. So now I have to get the smaller dowel pins out that I just hammered in...SMH! Learning experiences can be hard at times LOL!
