Hey whatsup all, in a little bit of a dilemma. Trying to decide what tires to get for the car. I really want the Nitto NT05s but they don't come in 275/40/19, they only come in 275/35/19. It's a daily driver but i want some good summer tires before I get some new wheels sometime next year. I only forsee myself putting on 10000 miles on these tires and then getting new wheels and tires. My main concern is grip, i want something that grips really well because i'll be using these tires at some autox events.

so far i've looked at
Nitto NT05s
Hankook RS-3
Advan AD08
kumho escta xs
Falken fk452

can anyone shed some light on this? the only issue i have with running a 35 instead of a 40 is that the 275/40/19 tire is 27.7 in diameter it help fill the wheel well in better. The P275/35/19 are only 26.6 in diameter are about a 1/2 shorter that the stock tire 255/40/19 are 27.1 in diameter. I plan on lowering the car pretty soon after i get the tires too. thanks!

anybody use the ADVAN Neova AD08's? i'm looking for something with a harder side wall so i can corner better, trying to make this car handle well too! and do you guys think the 275/35/19 would be fine even though they are a little smaller in diameter than the stock wheels?

i've been doing alot of searching around and i've heard 285's are a little too wide to run on the stock brembo's.... i mean you can do it for street driving purposes but it's only a 9 inch wheel, 285's on a 9 inch wheel wouldn't be ideal for auto-x

I believe corvettes are wider rims. For the 19x9, 275 is the largest recommend. The 255's looks too narrow for brembo wheels. I will be going with 275/35-19's. How having said that still unsure of brand. Not that many. Will look at above stated tires and maybe the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110. Feel like I'm going to be going through too many tires on the street to pay $300+ and only get say 20,000 miles. Not a good thing when you put 15,000 a year on the car. For Autocross, larger width wheels and A6's absolutely.

NT05's are coming off my car tomorrow after 1,000 miles and getting replaced with super sports. In my opinion the NT05 is too short, measures 26" tall when mounted. I'm going with a 275/40 in the back.

What do you guys think of 275/40/19s on all four corners? Would it look good? I will be getting new tires in probably another 10,000 miles and I still want to be able to rotate them to make them last as long as possible. The stock size 255/40s are a little to low profile for my taste.

how'd you like them though? i'm having a hard time finding any of the tires i want in 275/40... they're all 275/35

275/40/19's work great on all four corners

I had the stock p-zeros up front, I cut a tire in the back so I threw the nittos on the back to see if I could live with the height before I did fronts. They have decent straight line traction but don't come close to filling the finder. Currently I have a 2 Brembo wheels at weld craft getting widened to 10" so I can put a set of 305/35 drag radials on.

they are a great tire just really expensive. I would run the NT05 over the AD08 simply because of the price point. Another good tire is RT615K but they have really gone up in price alot and Im not sure what size they come in

oh and 275/40/19 looks pretty goofy the side walls are huge. I would go for the 275/35 on the stock brembo wheels.

yeah i'm not too concerned about the sidewalls and they way they look more concerned about performance, is having a 35 instead of a 40 going to hurt anything or will i not even really notice a difference because i'm not that amazing of a driver?

I have the michelin pilot sp2's in 285/35/19's on the rear and 275/40/19's up front. I think they look good, but I wish a 285/40/19 was available. I like a lot of sidewall :)

I run the MT Street Comps in 285/35/19 and they are fine.
They are at 25 psi here
