Agreed...I'm not a believer in throwing on the widest tires I can on a given setup, but 275s are too narrow for a 10"-wide rim. It doesn't make sense from a performance perspective, and they'll look goofy on a Mustang, imo. 295s are perfect for the rears, imo, and 265s would be just fine for your 9" fronts.

ive got 285's and id say go 285 at a min, they look good/flush with rim, but any thinner and they would have to stretch to fit.

for front, id say 265, i have 245 and i wish i would have gone wider, they dont look bad, but the 265 would have looked better and more flush, the 245's tilt in a bit. but they dont make a 265 in the tire i wanted.

295-30-18 for the rear will the EXACT height as a 265-35-18 front which is what you want, trust me it will look the best, 295-35-18 will look too tall compred to the 30 series

295 or 315s for out back. i run 295s on my 9" rears. LOL

265 is the PERFECT front tire size for a 9" wheel. 255 is too small. trust me.

Yes, definitely go bigger than 275. I run 285's on a 9" out back, and it looks great. Like the above posters said, go 295's minimum. A 315 would also be no problem at all. I'd recommend looking up pics and previous tire threads and pick the tire that you like best appearance-wise. Performance-wise, cornering won't change much between a 315 and a 295. However, you'll get considerably more grip under full acceleration w/ the 315.

I have 245/35's on my front 9'' saleens and it looks stupid......

I have 10'' in the rear with 295/35's and its perfect.. A little rubbing though and thats with the eibach sport kit and stock shocks...

I just got 255/40's for the front and we'll... We'll see that they are
