need help: Buying parts from someone in Great Britain

I put up a wanted ad for a hood and got a reply from a guy in Great Britain who said he had one and wants $145 for it shipped. He can't provide me with pics but says it in mint condition. I can't imagine what the shipping alone would be for a Lightning hood from England to Texas but I know it would be expensive. He wants me to send him the money western union but I'm getting the feeling it might be a scam. I asked him for pics but he said his computer is old and can no longer upload pics to it. Opinions? Too good to be true?

Send him a bank check for more than the cost of the hood, have him cash the check, send the hood, along with the rest of the money.

Sounds like a scam for sure... even if it wasn't a scam the cost of shipping a hood from GB to Texas would cost more than buying a new hood directly from Ford.
