I h ave a 01 gt that I am building for the track. I don't plan on ever really street driving it except to get gas or go to the little country store down the road. Nothing major. So street handling isn't a concern. My question is I have been researching people using the fox 4Cyl springs upfront and v8 in rear. So is this a decent budget set up or should I just stop being cheap? I live by a mustang junkyard so parts would be easy to come by.

yup alot of guys run em, not necessarily because they are cheap but because they are effective too.

alot of guys will remove the front sway bar too.
And a good set of LCA's(team Z, MM, UPR, are all pretty popular)

Good then this may be the route I go. Also assuming I would switch to the fox shocks and struts too? Would the stock fox shocks and struts work decent for a little while or should I just get a set of strange or other reasonable brand? Basically my goal is to hit 12s this summer for as cheap as possible then get a full set up over the winter
