Need computer help.(laptop has pig flu)

I have a weird problem with my laptop. Every now and then it is opening new pages on its own. They are always some sort of advertisement. The latest one I keep getting is for some type of windows defender. I am thinking I have some type of virus, spy ware, Trojan problem. Here's the real kicker.....what ever is going on, it will not let me run my malwarebytes anti-malware. Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this:shrug:

restart the laptop in safe mode (hit F8 key as the laptop is booting up).
you should be able to run the malwarebytes in safemode.

Reformat.

only tried and true method of removing it all.

then reinstall with no antivirus/anti-spyware/adware bullshit, and just run FireFox. stop venturing out of the "safe zone" of pr0n sites, and dont download any bullcrap programs (or install them for that matter).

Thanks. It worked. After running the scan it found 2 trojans and some kind of bot.

I plan on doing that as soon as I find all the discs needed to reinstall everything.
