Car is 2.9 Whipple @20psi on E. GenV and 1300s sitting in spare bedroom.

Goal is to improve traction. I know this is a slippery slope.

Car is on 18” classics, HR sports, bilsteins

Love the classics so this is tough.

I have stock springs and Viking DAs for the rear.

Need recommendations from experience.

Looking at. 17”/15” Weld S77 package.

Has anyone done this for a street car and not noticed a major improvement in traction on the street? Been looking at 275/50s or 315-325/40 or so for the 15s.

Tire height is a concern since I don’t want to swap gear sets right now.

Just wondering if getting a 15” in the back vs a good 18” will really make that much difference on the street. Gonna have to go more aggressive than the SS on the 18s if I go that route.

I intend to do the springs and Vikings regardless.

Thanks in advance!

Not notice a difference? With a good tire you’ll notice a difference regardless of wheel size.

FWIW I have 15s all around on mt et streets on my weld s77 and don’t have any issues.

I have Viking DA shocks stock springs lakewood struts and qa1 front springs. It’s a whipple car

I guess I’m asking is it noticeable enough difference to drop 3k on a second set of wheels?

I always run DRs.

What width 15 are you running and what tire size?

Buy Racestars and MT Streets it'll only be $1,000 instead of $3,000

I had the 275/50/15 on the back of my Redfire. I did have to shave the knuckle down just a tad to get the 15 to not rub. However a huge different. I also just got a set of 275/50/15 nitto nt555 RII’s. Awesome tires.

Y’all running a 15 x 9? Seems if you go the 275/50 route, that’s what you need.

Plus weld says you need extended studs and a spacer to run 10s.
