Hey guys I've been following Lightnings forever and finally bought one. '04 with 152k on it. Appears to be stock...was a 1 owner. It idles rough and skips at around 45 mph. However, once you hit the gas it runs fine and definitely moves. I'm sure it needs a time up...plugs, coils, filters, etc. the air filter looks like they let their 3 year old play in the dirt with it and under the hood looks about as good. I'm going to give the truck one hell of a bath in and out. Good thing is that the body is straight and paint is good. Any suggestions on what else to check and change would be greatly appreciated. I just drove it home which was about 230 miles. I don't think the motor is hurt...just needs the maintenance it should have received already. Thanks guys.

Sounds like plugs and coils is a good start...along with a clean filter.
