I have been fooling with this thing for an hour now and for the life of me I cant get the rear rotors off. Calipers are off and I even released the e-brake cable on the back of each rear hub assembly. Still nothing.
The BFH has been in use for a while now. The dust shield is covering almost the whole back of the rotor. So I can only hit it where the caliper goes.

Anything I am missing? This is the first time I have messed with the brakes on the lightning. Help a brother out please!!!

They can be stubborn. Use a large rubber mallet (a sledge if available) and whack the hell out of it one time. Ideally you should hit in the center, not on the surface where the pads ride. I spent forever trying to get mine off before... tried everything. I finally had one of the mechanics at the hobby shop give it a try. One solid hit with the rubber sledge out on the surface where the pads ride at it popped off (ringing like a bell). I felt like a wussy, but I just didn't want to damage anything.

This is where a 3 pound dead blow hammer comes into effect..

Just hit and spin several times. Maybe need some PB Blaster to help.
