navigation AVIC D3 on a 93 Cobra?

has anyone every put a doble din navigation system on a 93 Cobra?

I am interested in doing this but not sure if it can be done!

It can be done. The factory radio with pocket or EQ underneath is the double din size. May take some SLIGHT fabrication to mount it, but nothing you can't handle I'm sure.

I fit a avic-d2 in my svt focus and didnt realize it was a 1.5 din size. i made it fit. you should have no problem the opening is big on the fox bodies and 01 up.

do ya'll think it would look weird!? Cause I am in the market for a 93 cobra, and I currently own a 2007 TBSS which I installed the avic D3 on it. So I was wondering if it will fit? If not then I would sell it and get a flip out navi system for it.

get the avic and not the flip, the flip wouldnt look as good. you might even hit the flip if you shift.

Damn, until I saw this thread I just assumed there would be an installation kit for a double din deck. I have an Eclipse AVN 5500 that I was planning to install. :shrug:
