The 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra Mystichrome
In addition to Ford Motor Company celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, the 2004 model year represents the 40th anniversary of the venerable Mustang. To commemorate this occasion, Ford will offer special editions of its pony car for the 2004 model year. The Mustang base and GT will be available with a 40th anniversary package, which features special performance striping, special wheels, interior enhancements and unique badging. Only 5,700 will be built. Three special colors will be available, including an exclusive Crimson Red. In addition, 1,000 special-edition Mustang SVT Mystichrome Cobras will be offered for 2004 with Mystichrome color-shifting paint that changes from green to blue to purple to black. Ford has also announced that the high-performance Mach 1 will be available for 2004. Meanwhile, the all-new 2004 F-150 will go on sale this fall—look for more details later in the year.
