Mystery Black Box....What is it?

Hey all, when I picked up my 08 GT500, there was this black box located on the passenger side engine bay fender wall. Appears to be disconnected (some wires cut) but still attached into one of the wiring looms. It has a red LED on the top, but absolutely no name on the box. Haven't tried popping it open, but may do so....

Any idea what this is?

Looks like the sticker peeled off the box, just below the red LED.

Does seem like it might be the place for a sticker, but hard to know for sure. I'd like to remove the box completely, just not too sure if that's a good idea, since it's still wired into the car, despite some obvious disconnection points already made, i.e. wires cut. I'm assuming the red LED would work if it still was being fed power....

Motion/shock sensor for aftermarket alarm. The LED is a dead giveaway.
