[QUOTE="mysteed, post: 10503214, member: 27508"] After years of searching for the perfect car, I FINALLY found it. The car is a 1988 Mustang LX notchback. It currently has a C5 trans and the motor is a carb'd 302 with a Victor Jr. intake, MSD ignition, Flowmaster exhaust, and a Holley 650 carb and to top it off the car actually runs (though it does have a horrendous rod knock)! Plus there is ZERO rust on it, which honestly shocked me as I've looked at hundreds of them and 99% of them are just POS rust buckets. Well who reallly cares if it runs because, personally, I think there are far too many 5.0's on the road. Well I've done the NPI to PI swap, the 4v swap, played with the Terminator stuff, and done a LOT in the v6 world. So really to me there isn't a lot left to do.....except stuff all of my m112'd v6 stuff into the notch. Yeah that's right, this will be one of the few v6 foxbody drag cars in the country. Plan of attack: Gut EVERYTHING out of the notch. Put everything I can from the v6 into the notch. Everything that adds weight and doesn't directly affect drag racing is left off. No power anything. Register and get insurance on it to be able to drive it on the street. Just to show what it'll cost to build a project racecar, I'll include a running total. Cost: Car- $800 Things I sold: Holley Carb- $100 Total Spent: $700 Pics!
