Turned off the adaptive transmission "feature" using ForScan and it changes the truck for the better. Ford needs to go back and revise the tuning for adaptive learning to keep it from getting lazy.
From today. Truck is right at 77k miles. Maintenance items coming up soon - plugs and transfer case/rear diff fluid replacement.
Also tires are about done. The stock Hankook AT2s are not very good at anything but lasting a long time. Horrible offroad and no grip on road(will slip going over thermoplastic crosswalks). Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws are all the rage(loved the AT3w on my Colorado) but they are 9lbs heavier than the stock AT2s some other options. That is a ton of extra rotational weight.
Some tires that are the same weight as the OE Ford Hankook AT2's(44lbs) are:
Yokohama Geolander AT G015
Hankook AT2 Extreme(iffy if the compound isnt different?)
Kumho AT52
Cooper Discoverer Road & Trail AT
Atturo Trail Blade ATS
Nitto Nomad Grappler
Leaning toward the Kumhos or Coopers at this point.
