So here's my semi build thread. I picked up my 1998 gt a while ago and it was bone stock. With the anemic non pi 4.6 and automatic I was bored with driving it pretty quick. I decided it needed a dohc 4.6. I picked up one from a 1998 mark viii. I also decided to add a flowmaster exhaust, 4.10 gears, a 2500 stall converter and added a 125 shot of nitrous.

It was still slow though so I decided to step it up quite a bit more. I picked up a procharger p1sc,a forged crank, a gt500 oil pump, boss 302 connecting rods new in box, and I had 7 good manley pistons so I ordered 1 more to make a complete set.

I then balanced the rotating assembly on our balancer.

I modded the stock basket and installed a 340 aeromotive pump.

I dropped the stock mark viii engine out and disassembled it. Here's a shot of it fresh out of the jet washer.

Got it installed in the car and broke it in n/a for a few miles and started the supercharger install. I picked up an ebay intercooler kit to use.

It's a k&n filter I have the part number out in the garage. I have strongly considered a cobra intake. I cannot seem to find a back to back comparison between the two.

well from what i can remember when i was going to do a b head/b intake motor was that it had low end tq advantage and it also has different intake cams than a mark viii motor.

either way i'm sure it will be a very fun ride.

if you decide to go cobra intake, make sure to buy a complete intake with the throttle body cable and everything. it took me forever to source one.
