My Competition Engineering D/S Loop Doesn't Fit!

The main brace between the frame rails doesn't fit, it is too long. I wrestled with it and banged on it but to no avail. Anybody else have this problem? Should I grind the frame rail down? I need anothe 1/8" to make it fit.

I had no problems with mine it when right in. I'd make sure they sent you the right one before i'd start grinding anything. Is it in the the right place? it fits really close to the tranny on my 01.

Put it on the bottom of the frame rail?

I had the same problem I wound up grinding the frame. I even had to use spacers to lower it a lil so it would clear the exhaust. Not a great fit!

OK thanks. It's pretty obvious where it goes and I know I'm not crazy. Mine does clear the exhaust though. :coolman:

Thats how I did mine went in with no problems in about 20 min.

Update - I got it on today without any grinding. The key was getting on a lift at my friends' shop and prying it into place with some help. Now I'm ready for FFW. :banana:
