My cobra pops when shifting

I raced two of my friends and they told me that my car made a loud shotgun noise the two times I raced them. Wierd thing is that I didn't hear anything with my windows up. Is this detonation?? Or is it something else serious??

2 things..

1.) It could be due to the car running PIG rich at the top end.

2.) Leaving the Traction Control on and doing a very hard shift into 2nd will do it too.

I've experienced both!
