I bought the car from my friend. The headers were already installed with high flow cats. He told me he thought it was the passenger side cat because it goes away once it warms up. I finally got around to ditching the cats and the sound did not go away. So I searched and searched the internet for a solution. All roads lead to making sure a bolt didn't fall down into the collector. I thought for sure that couldn't be my problem, the sound goes away. If it was a bolt it would make skins all the time.
Broke out the inspection camera to look down into the collector and sure enough, there was something down in there.
I guess they dropped a stud and couldn't find where it went when they installed the headers.
Moral of this story is believe the internet....lol
