i've had the car for nearly 9 months now. It is currently with my painter getting a well deserved make over. I bought it with 88k miles, completely BONE STOCK.

My question for you guys is this: Can anyone help me find out if this one of the last foxes to roll off the assembly line?

Here's why i believe this: The door tag has an 8/93 build date, Carfax reports the date to be 8/26/93. This seems VERY late in the model year. The car came with stock plugs wires with "1994" on every wire and some sensors i have replaced were used mostly on 94-95 5.0s. Also, the last 6 digits of my VIN are 214606 meaning it is the 114,606th mustang off the line for the 93 model year. According to everything i can find, only 114,228 mustangs were produced in 93.

I do have the original window sticker that came with the car, it was NOT an SSP. The Total price for the car was $16,968

Does anyone have any contacts in ford that can find something out for me? Any phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.

Thanks! and now for the pics of when i got it:

Cleeeeeeeeean car. I'm lovin it.

But I have no idea about the build date. Good luck though. It'd be kinda cool to have the last Fox that was available to the public..

it is definitely one of the last but I doubt if you'll ever know if it's THE last one to come off...

According to the Official Mustang 5.0 reference book the last V8 Fox body mustang rolled off the assembly line on Aug 26 1993.

The VIN number of the last Fox mustang is (1FACP45E7PF198268)

Finding some weird numbers in this book. I found that the number 114,228 is for mustangs produced by the Ford North American Operations. Then 110,372 is the number of Mustangs produced for U.S domestic consumption. This totals 224,600 mustangs in 1993. What I dont understand is that this book says that 224,600 mustangs rolled off the line in that year but the final car to come off the assembly line has a # 198,268

110,372 cars were built for domestic sales and the other 3856 were for the government maybe? Also, i was just told that the last 6 digits of the VIN were not consecutive build numbers so that explains that.

I know now that my car was not the last one, but maybe it could be the last coupe?

Did some research on the buck tag for the car and it was born on the last day of production for the foxbody. 8-26-93. I also found the last foxbody to come off the assembly line and the gentleman that owns NPD has it. He also has a picture that shows a white 93 LX coupe in front of his coming off the assembly line. I have yet to find a higher VIN than mine. So this could possibly be the last LX 5.0 Coupe produced in 93. does anyone have any info?? I have decided to keep the coupe for a while longer. Sorry I haven't gotten back to some of the pms I got. Did some research on the buck tag for the car and it was born on the last day of production for the foxbody. 8-26-93. Place is a ****ing cesspool.

I wouldn't post anything over there looking for a knowledgeable response.

There definitely is a lot of bean shooters there but there are also a lot of guys that really know their stuff too.
