About a 2 years ago I came across this 59 Ford F100. My stepfather Always wanted to restore an old 50's pick-up but could never find one. he was more a Chevy guy but I couldn't pass this up. So for Fathers day I brought home this: ( Don't mind if I'm missing pictures, I dug up what I had from 2 years ago)

It was rough, it ran but the years were not kind but he was very happy with it regardless. The previous owner did a lot of stuff I wasn't happy about including the makeshift fuel tank in the bed.

We drove it around for the summer but it was apparent it needed total re haul. so we began tearing her down.

Rot peered its ugly head.

At this point we were just starting to have time to really sink our teeth in. Unfortunately there was an an accident and my stepfather was pinned under the truck when no one was home. It slipped off the ramps and pinned him to the ground breaking his leg so he was in a wheel chair for most of the summer.

That didn't stop us from trying. With the Eastwood sandblaster we went nuts

We are currently waiting for the body shop to be ready for the body so until then we have been keeping busy cleaning up parts, and trying to salvage hard to find pieces. Oh and We figured why not try powder coating ourselves.

its certainly different from what I am used to but we just couldn't pass this up even with all the body defects. Came with a 292 V8 matched with a 3 speed auto which from what I can recall was a very expensive option back then.

Fridges, a face only a mother could love.
I suppose you know thats what they are referred to.
I've got an affliction with 65~66 Ford trucks. I have two currently. A F-100 and a F-250.

Nice. I have a 57 F100 myself running a 272 Y-block. Flipped axles front and rear, notched frame front and rear, etc. Gonna do some body mods and paint this winter and drive the shit out of it this summer. Good luck!

Here's mine

Nitemare and 99cobra Love em both. I find it amazing how much the design changed from year to year. 58 Was my optimal choice but finding these is becoming such a chore so we jumped on it.

Loving the interior 99cobra
