Yes, very impressive on a true street tire.
Whose tune?
What's in the custom cat-back?
Gears and drag radials could help, but who can argue with that for a driver on street rubber!

Cool exhaust idea, did the Pypes tips come slanted?
The rear bullets are a great idea.

THose Are The Stock Tips From The Original Mufflers.

That's what I was considering with my car, but I don't want to hack up my stock mufflers. I've been looking around for a second set of OEM someone has discarded but haven't found anything that's cost-effective yet. Nice job on yours though.

well I shopped the world over and I could not find a nice enough set of tips to use. and the ones I found cost more then the mufflers were worth. so I just cut the mufflers up.

Great pass. Tell me about the launches. Obviously you improved them each run. What did you do to make that best pass?

the traction control works great if you don't dump the clutch. so instead of shocking the system by dumping the clutch.
try to take off from the line fast enough not to spin the tires, and then punch it.
it's a very hard balancing act, basically,I rev it to about 3500-4000, then I let the clutch out fast but not fast enough to break the tires lose. so essentially you have to slip the clutch enough to get moving before you lay into all the power.
and if you do it right once you lay into the power your traction control can keep up.
some folks may have witnessed how their car stumbles really bad then takes off when using the traction control, when they really try to get after it or if you downshift to second and step into it to fast.
the key to traction is to never dump the clutch in these Shelby's,unless you have the proper tires.
I can really lay the smack down on the street by being smooth off the line and letting the traction control keep up and not over powering it.
I talked to the guys at SVT and they were super impressed with the runs i'd
made so far, especially since the tires I have on the car aren't as wide as the stockers.
I've made thousands of passes down the drag strip over the last 27 years, you learn a few things after while.
